About this Service
Epoxy or cement-based terrazzo flooring installation for Kennesaw State University campus spaces, including classrooms, laboratory suites, cafeterias and administrative corridors. Suited to high-traffic interiors where a seamless, decorative surface must resist foot traffic, carts and dining spills.
Large-area work is typically scheduled during summer break or institutional access windows to reduce disruption. Because campus buildings often have high interior humidity and older concrete slabs, quotes include moisture testing (ASTM F2170 or ASTM F1869), staged diamond grinding, crack repair and a specified build-up (typical epoxy terrazzo 1/4"-3/8") before aggregate embedment and curing.
Finished floors are ground and polished to a specified sheen (commonly 200-800 grit) to reveal aggregate and provide abrasion and chemical resistance; lab and kitchen areas use higher-resin mixes for extra chemical tolerance. Expect multi-day cure schedules and explicit movement-joint or slab-settlement details where needed to reduce cracking risk.
